Precision-Engineered Safety Valves. Made in Italy.
Universal Srl designs, manufactures, and certifies safety valves for critical industrial applications worldwide — combining Italian engineering heritage with rigorous compliance standards.
How Every Valve Is Built
From initial design brief to final certification stamp, every Universal Srl safety valve passes through a controlled, fully documented manufacturing sequence.
01
Design & Engineering
Each valve begins with a detailed engineering review. Our technical team defines pressure class, material grade, body geometry, and compliance requirements before a single component is produced.
02
Material Sourcing & Incoming QC
Raw materials and components are sourced from certified suppliers and subjected to incoming quality control — dimensional checks, material traceability, and hardness testing — before entering the production floor.
03
Precision Machining & Assembly
Valve bodies are machined on CNC equipment to tight tolerances. Trained assemblers build each unit according to engineering drawings, with in-process checks at every critical stage.
04
Testing, Certification & Documentation
Every finished valve undergoes seat leak testing, body pressure testing, and set pressure verification. Full documentation — test reports, material certificates, and CE/PED/ATEX declarations — is issued with each shipment.

Compact Double effect safety valves and Vacuum Relief Valves
These safety valves can satisfy, at the
same time, two requirements for tanks and vessels, during loading and unloading operations:
- to avoid dangerous overpressures
- to avoid implosions due to internal depressions.
These valves are particularly suitable for tanks on trucks used for transport of cement, powders, flours and cereals. Available in brass and stainless steel 316L and other materials on request.
Set pressure: 0.4 - 6 bar | Set depressure: 0.05 - 0,6 bar | Sizes: DN40 / 1-1/2" — DN50 / 2" | Ends: Threaded, CLAMP, SMS, DIN

Technical Questions & Answers
Common questions from engineers and procurement teams evaluating Universal Srl's production capabilities and supply terms.
What is a safety valve?
A safety valve is an automatic pressure protection device designed to release excess pressure from a system when a preset value is reached.
What are your standard lead times for safety valves?
Standard catalog safety valves are typically available within 4 weeks from order confirmation. Custom-engineered or special-material valves more weeks depending on complexity and material availability. Expedited production is available — contact our sales team to discuss urgency.
Do you offer custom or engineered-to-order manufacturing?
Yes. Universal Srl designs and manufactures safety valves to client specifications, including non-standard pressure classes, exotic alloy bodies (Hastelloy, Inconel, Duplex, Super Duplex), special end connections, and bespoke coatings or surface treatments. An engineering inquiry form is available on our Contact Us page. What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
There is no fixed minimum order quantity for standard safety valves — we supply from single units to large project batches. For custom-engineered valves, minimum quantities may apply depending on material procurement requirements; this will be confirmed at quotation stage. What documentation is supplied with each valve?
Standard documentation includes: dimensional drawing, material certificates (EN 10204 3.1), factory acceptance test report, CE Declaration of Conformity, and PED compliance statement. Third-party inspection certificates, ATEX declarations, and specific material traceability documents are available on request.Do you accept third-party inspection and witnessing?
Absolutely. We routinely host inspection activities by TÜV, Bureau Veritas, Lloyd's Register, DNV, and client-nominated inspectors. Our facility is structured to accommodate witnessed testing, material traceability reviews, and pre-shipment inspection at any production stage.
