Certified Quality. Standards for Every Valve.

At Universal Srl, certification is not an administrative formality — it is the engineering foundation that every product and process is built upon. Our manufacturing and trading operations have been governed by internationally recognised quality and safety standards, giving procurement engineers, compliance officers, and plant managers a verifiable basis for supplier qualification.

Our certification portfolio covers quality management systems, pressure equipment safety, explosive atmosphere compatibility, and European conformity marking — the full spectrum required for industrial applications in Oil & Gas, Chemical & Pharmaceutical, Petrochemical, Water, Energy, Naval, and Food & Beverage sectors. Every certificate is maintained, audited, and available for download.

Our Certifications

Each certification Universal Srl holds represents a specific commitment — to process discipline, product safety, regulatory compliance, and international market access. The four pillars of our compliance framework are detailed below.

ISO 9001

Quality Management System — ISO 9001:2015

Certifies that Universal Srl operates a documented quality management system covering design, production, inspection, and delivery. ISO 9001 is the globally recognised baseline for supplier qualification — it guarantees that processes are controlled, traceable, and subject to continuous improvement. For procurement teams, it is the primary evidence that a manufacturer can consistently deliver products to specification.

CE

CE Marking — European Conformity

The CE mark confirms that Universal Srl's products meet the essential health, safety, and environmental requirements of applicable European Directives before they are placed on the market. For buyers operating in the European Union or exporting into it, CE marking is a mandatory compliance requirement — it signals that products have undergone formal conformity assessment and are legally market-ready.

PED

Pressure Equipment Directive — 2014/68/EU

The Pressure Equipment Directive governs the design, manufacture, and conformity assessment of pressure equipment and assemblies operating above 0.5 bar. Universal Srl's safety valves are manufactured in full compliance with PED 2014/68/EU — a non-negotiable requirement for pressure relief devices used in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and Energy plant installations. PED compliance is verified by an EU Notified Body.

ATEX

Explosive Atmospheres Directive — 2014/34/EU

ATEX certification covers equipment and protective systems intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres — a critical requirement for valves deployed in hydrocarbon processing, chemical plants, and offshore installations. Universal Srl's ATEX-compliant products have been assessed and approved for use in Zone-classified hazardous areas, reducing risk and ensuring regulatory compliance for end users.
